COMPANY PROFILE

 

Arris Consulting LLC is a commercially oriented architecture firm founded in 2015, and located in Lubbock Texas.  Arris LLC engages in a diverse range of work, from modest retail finish-out, space planning and restaurants, to larger scale retail and industrial projects.  We strive to achieve a balance between design, client satisfaction and on-time delivery in each project, utilizing the best in current technology to maximize productivity and document quality.

 

Arris LLC has completed retail, office and other commercial projects in the Lubbock and Amarillo markets, and is currently engaged in establishing a presence in Midland.

Mr. Gary and Mr. Fillipp have a collective experience of over 40 years, working on a wide range of projects including educational, commercial, industrial and medical.  In addition to architecture, each has a substantial background in product design, graphic design and manufacturing.

 

 

 

 

TECHNOLOGY

 

We employ the most current versions of industry-standard software and production methods.  Our primary design and production tool is Autodesk Revit, and we are highly experienced in AutoCAD, Lumion, and the entire suite of Adobe graphic products as well.  Mr. Fillipp has been working in Revit since 2012, and was instrumental in implementing BIM at Parkhill, Smith and Cooper in Lubbock.

 

Arris LLC has worked with most common types of structural technology, including conventional steel frame, pre-engineered frame, masonry bearing wall, ICF bearing wall, tilt-up concrete and wood frame.

 

 

 

 

PRINCIPALS

 

Lonnie F. Gary – Architect

 

Mr. Gary has been a registered Architect in the State of Texas since 1981, and is a graduate of Texas Tech University School of Engineering (1979) with a degree in Architectural Design.

After graduation he built a successful Architectural practice with offices in Lubbock and Big Spring, Texas.  Some of the projects he was involved with were:

New Men and Women's Dormitory Facilities for Howard College, Big Spring

New Family Life Center for First Baptist Church in Big Spring, Texas

New Family Life Center for First Baptist Church in Borger, Texas

Medical Office Buildings for Covenant Health Systems in Lubbock

Other projects ranged from Dentist and Orthodontic facilities in the Lubbock area, to classroom and library facilities for Jayton and Girard ISD.

During this same time frame he founded Gary Products Group, a consumer products company based in Lubbock, Texas.

After the sale of GPG, Mr. Gary started a new company, Xstream Autoclean, again based in Lubbock, Texas. He was instrumental in the design, construction and opening of six Express Car Washes in West Texas and in the acquisition and re-purposing of two washes in Dallas, Texas.

Most recently he has designed and opened another Express Wash in Amarillo and is currently involved in the planning and design of a second wash in Amarillo.

Other experience includes teaching Construction Technology and Sophomore Design Lab in the College of Architecture at Texas Tech.

 

 

Steve Fillipp – Architect

 

A graduate of Kansas State University (1980), Mr. Fillipp has been a registered Architect in Texas since 1983.  Apart from Arris LLC, his most recent experience includes production work on significant projects by Parkhill Smith and Cooper’s Higher Education Studio.  These projects include several projects for the Texas Tech University System:

 Rawls College of Business

 Softball Building and Field Renovation

 Renovation of Business Administration Building

Other work at PSC includes the Culinary Arts Center at TSTC in Waco, a School Gymnasium at Fort Benning, Georgia and additions to Hilmar Cheese in Dalhart, Texas.

Prior to PSC Mr. Fillipp was associated with Allied Associates, another Lubbock A/E firm.  During that time he was involved in projects ranging from the renovation of Gene Messer Toyota in Lubbock to several associated with the Nuclear Enrichment Facility in Eunice, New Mexico.

Other experience includes teaching Construction Documents in the College of Architecture at Texas Tech.

 

 

 

Monte Moore – Controller & Operations Manager

 

Mr. Moore is a West Texas native and graduated from Texas Tech University in 1992 with a BBA in Finance.  Monte is the Controller and Operations Manager of Arris Consulting.  Monte has worked with Lonnie and Steve since 1994, initially at Gary Products Group and subsequently at Xstream AutoClean, Commercial Christmas Hardware, Amarillo AutoClean, Visualign and RiyDent Management.

 

 

 

Randy J Kinnison – Business Development

 

Mr. Kinnison is a Lubbock Texas native and graduate of Texas Tech University (1997).  Randy’s primary role in Arris Consulting is business development, and he also manages other businesses that the partnership group has interest in. These companies include Commercial Christmas Hardware, Amarillo AutoClean, Visualign LLC, RiyDent Management and AKE Investments LLC.

 

 

 

Ethan Fleshman – Architectural Intern

 

Mr. Fleshman is a graduate of Texas Tech University (2016) with a Master’s Degree in Architecture, and also has a Historic Preservation Certificate.  Previous experience consists of Architectural Intern at GLMV of Wichita, Ks.  Since coming to Arris LLC in February, his role at Arris LLC has been the generating of design concepts and production of construction documents.

 

 

Landon T Freelen – Revit Technician

 

Mr. Freelen is a 2015 graduate of Texas Tech University where he attained a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing with a concentration in Supply Chain Management. Landon’s role within Tore Up Tackle Box has encompassed architectural drafting, product development, marketing strategy, logistical/fulfillment coordination and general business progression. Currently, Landon’s primary focus pertains to sales, marketing and advertising within the companies Amarillo Autoclean, Visualign LLC, and Commercial Christmas Hardware.
